I understand that Dubai is an open city with people from everywhere with different nationalities, religions and backgrounds and this is one of the things i like about it. What annoys me is something that might seem silly to some people but i just want to say it anyway...
I AM JORDANIAN
So for all the people who asked me if i was:
1. Russian: 7amdullah NO!! no offense but with the reputation you girls have around here...
2. Iranian: No, and please strange lady from the public bathroom, for the 5th time i am not Iranian and for some unknown reason i don't speak Iranian.
3. Lebanese: No, not because i have short hair and speak arabic i have to be Lebanese.
Really Jordanian? but you look like you are European... I don't see this as a compliment so don't be shocked from my reaction.
Seriously do you want to check my passport?!
Yes really Jordanian and a proud one!

I don't know why people think it is a good way to start a conversation, i am curious to know where people are from but that wouldn't be my first question to someone i just met
